Privacy Policy
This is a practical placeholder policy for self-hosted and early EpicMaps deployments. Replace with counsel-reviewed text before a public commercial launch.
What we collect
Account email and name, authentication session cookies, and the map content you create (projects, layers, features, comments). Server logs may include IP addresses and request metadata for security and reliability.
How we use data
To operate the product you signed up for: authenticate you, store your maps, sync edits, and diagnose outages. We do not sell personal data.
Where data lives
In the database configured for your EpicMaps deployment (typically Postgres/PostGIS). If you self-host, you control the region and retention.
Your choices
You may request account deletion and export of project GeoJSON through support channels. Closing an account does not automatically purge backups until your retention window ends.
